Meeting Overview —

This meeting of the ITECA ICT Sector Interest Interest Group provides is an exclusive member-only opportunity for independent Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to meet with the Chief Executive Officer of the new Digital Skills Organisation (DSO).

What You’ll Get Out Of It —

Arising from recommendations in the Joyce Review of Vocational Education and Training, the DSO is tasked with making sure that digital skills training in Australia produces job-ready candidates with the skills that employers need.

This meeting of the ITECA ICT Sector Interest Interest Group will allow you to better understand the work of the DSO and the opportunity to support reform to the vocational education and training sector.  You’ll hear from Mr Patrick Kidd, the newly appointed DSO Chief Executive Officer.

………- The DSO’s purpose and industry accountability.
………- Current work plan in the digital skills sector.
………- What the DSO’s work will mean for RTOs and qualifications delivery.
………- The opportunity to get involved in DSO work.

You’ll hear about the DSO has planned a suite of Pilot Projects to take place over the next year. These projects strive to create a collaborative environment where stakeholders across industry, the vocational education and training sector plus government can come together to work on innovative training solutions for digital skills and solve the challenges facing digital skills training in Australia today.

The great thing is participation in the ITECA ICT Sector Interest Interest Group comes at no additional cost, it’s all part of your organisation’s ITECA membership.

VET College Recognition —

Participants in this meeting that whom are endorsed by the ITECA College of Vocational Education and Training Professionals as a Certified Education Manager (CEM) will be entitled to claim one (1) hour professional development towards their annual entitlement.
