Key Issues —

Queensland has typically led the nation in empowering student choice, allowing them to study with independent Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).  Find out from the state’s alternative government about what the future may hold for skills funding and the implications for independent RTOs.

Brent Mickelberg MP is the Queensland Shadow Minister for Employment, Small Business and Training.  This is your opportunity to speak with him about the following..

…….The issues to be canvassed in this presentation
…….- The Queensland Opposition’s plan for a dynamic and responsive vocational training system
…….- Thoughts concerning contestable skills funding
…….- How to best deliver vocational training in a geographically diverse space.

Independent RTOs in Queensland do the heavy-lifting in supporting the skill of the state’s workforce, supporting around 92% of the people in vocational education and training – that’s around 982,395 students.

This event is hosted by Michael Gleadow, the ITECA Queensland Chair and an ITECA Director.

If you have an interest in the Shadow Minister's commitment to supporting students at independent RTO’s through state government funding, this is an event not to be missed.
