Meeting Overview —

The Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) provides the opportunity for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) across Queensland to meet and discuss the State Government's funding of vocational education and training courses.

Meeting Detail —

The ITECA Queensland Funded Provider Interest Group empowers you with the information to make informed business decisions.  There are two parts to the meeting, the first is a closed member-only focus and the second an open discussion with the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.

Current provider comments on 'Skills Assure' compliance and reporting obligations.
.....- Thoughts on 'Skills Assure' funded programs and considered changes to the same.
.....- Application and approvals for new 'Skills Assure' providers.
.....- Meet with colleagues that share your commitment to excellence.

.....Departmental management discussion:
.....- Quarterly updates on 'Skills Assure' program delivery and performance.
.....- A briefing on 'JobTrainer' program delivery in the state.
.....- Advance notice of proposed changes to the 'Skills Assure' program.
.....- Discuss 'Skills Assure' funding allocation in this and future years.

If your RTO support students through accessing Queensland Government funding, or has an interest in doing so, participating in this group will keep keep you up to date with changes to funding programs and the associated compliance and reporting obligations.

The great thing is participation in the ITECA Queensland Funded Provider Interest Group comes at no additional cost, it’s all part of your organisation’s ITECA membership.

Stakeholder Engagement —

This meeting positions you to play a leadership role in helping frame the feedback that ITECA Queensland provides to the State Government's Department of Education and Training, ensuring that decisions concerning program design and delivery have been made with an understanding of your views and that of others who share your commitment to excellence.

Departmental Attendance —

Senior management from the Queensland Department of Education, Small Business and Training will be on-hand to provide you with up-to-date advice and answers to your questions.

To get the most out of participation, be sure to lodge any questions that you may have at the time of registering, this ensures that they will be answered.

VET College Recognition — 

Participants in this meeting who are endorsed by the ITECA College of Vocational Education and Training Professionals as a Certified Education Manager (CEM) will be entitled to claim one (1) hour professional development towards their annual obligation.
