ITECA Membership Application Fees & Process

If you're organisation is recognised as a quality independent tertiary education provider, it's easy to apply for membership of the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia, the peak body representing independent providers in the higher education, vocational education, training and skills sectors.

Before completing the forms (available) below be sure that you have reviewed the information that's required to support your organisation's application.  This will ensure that it can be processed immediately and approval takes less than a week for a fully completed application.

Higher Education & Vocational Education & Training Provider Registration


◾ Higher education providers must be be registered with TEQSA; and / or
◾ Vocational education and training providers must be registered with ASQA, VRQA or TACWA.

Financial Sustainability Requirement



◾ The provider must be CRICOS registered; or
◾ The provider must be endorsed FEE-HELP Student Loans Provider; or
◾ The provider must be an endorsed VET Student Loans Provider; or
◾ The provider must have a TPS policy covering 50% plus students; or
◾ The provider’s training operations fall within an ACNC registration; or
◾ The provider’s financial statements for the last full financial year submitted for review.

Fit & Proper Person Assessment


The applicant declares that no Directors, senior management or others able to exercise control over the applicant in the past five years have been:
 A Director of a company placed into liquidation or administration; or
 Banned by ASIC to be a Director of a company; or
 Were a Director of a training provider with a registration canceled by ASQA (National), VRQA (Victoria), TAC (Western Aust.) or TEQSA (National).

One your completed application is received it will be reviewed by ITECA staff and, if it is determined that all criteria is satisfied, it will be submitted to the ITECA Chief Executive for approval. To assist you in making the application please review the following downloads.
