The New South Wales Government has supported apprentices in bushfire affected communities by allowing them to access the training component of their apprenticeship for up to 12 months for free, something that supports apprentices and providers alike.
Key Issues —
The New South Wales government has responded to the bushfire crisis by supporting apprentices that have employers who are unable to keep them on.
Amongst a range of measures introduced by the New South Wales government, apprentices without employers will be able to access the training component of their apprenticeship for up to twelve months.
Members of the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) that have apprentices in this sad situation are encouraged to contact their Training Services NSW Regional Office to find out how they can ensure students are provided with this vital ongoing support.
