A key role for the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) is to build collaborative partnerships between the vocational education and training (VET) sector, government and the business community.
The focus of ITECA’s stakeholder engagement is to put the independent tertiary education system at the forefront of the debate on the future of VET in Australia. The advice, expertise and guidance of the ITECA membership are vital to the advice that ITECA provides stakeholders.
Key stakeholders that ITECA enjoys a strong working relationship with include:
ITECA Vocational Education & Training Stakeholders —
Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA)
Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI)
Business Council of Australia (BCA)
Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA)
Additionally, ITECA has established relationships with key Australian Government and state / territory government departments responsible for vocational education and training. ITECA staff enjoy an open and ongoing dialogue that works to keep members not only up to date with policy changes, but to also influence these too.
ITECA is committed to two-way open communication that involves listening to key stakeholders, keeping them informed and being clear about how their engagement with ITECA is working to enhance the quality offered by the independent tertiary education system, and the VET sector in particular.
ITECA provides leadership, strategy, advocacy and support. Our members set our agenda, fund our activities and directly benefit from the results.
