CEP Credential – Professional induction process

The Certified Education Professional (CEP) credential isn't for every trainer and assessor.  It's an aspiration for those professionals that have a commitment to excellence as demonstrated through study, a commitment to continuing professional development and endorsement of their peers.  Applications are welcome from professionals that meet all of the eligibility requirements as set out below:


Step 1 —
Review The Eligibility Criteria

  Review the admission criteria to assess if your eligible for admission to the College as a CEP.  This requires you to possess:
  .. Formal qualifications in training and assessment;
  Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed
  Hold current working with minors check and / or working with vulnerable persons check (where appropriate)

An endorsement from colleagues as set out in the eligibility criteria.


Step 2 —
Submit An Online Application


Complete the online application which includes uploading supporting documentation.

Step 3 —
Finalise Payment

    You will need to make the payment for the application fee and also the annual college membership fee..

The option is available to you to make the annual membership fee by monthly installments.


Step 4 —
Application Review

The ITECA Membership team will review your application and notify you of the outcome.  This typically takes three to four days.

It is possible that, at this point in the college admission process, you will be required to provide further documentary evidence of your eligibility for admission to the college.


Step 5 —
Admission To The College

    ◾   If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive official notification via email and your membership kit will be sent via mail.

You have the option of being formally acknowledged at a later stage before colleges at the next face-to-face ITECA event in your location.

When a professional meeting the eligibility criteria submits a fully completed application it is typically processed in three to five days; however, if additional supporting documentation is required it can take longer.
