The significant contribution of independent skills training, higher education and international education providers is recognised by leaders across the political spectrum. This is due to the great contribution of Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) members and their leadership in the national policy debate

One of the great examples of member-driven advocacy is the annual Independent Tertiary Education Parliamentary Forum at Parliament House, Canberra.

This exclusive event is designed to empower leaders of independent skills training and higher education providers with an understanding of the national policy agenda and ITECA's role in shaping the reform debate.

 ITECA Parliamentary Forum Includes

A Venue That's Appropriate For This Gathering Of Leaders

The forum is held in the secure area Parliament House.  Attendees will develop an appreciation for how the daily functions of the building impact the legislative process.  A highlight is watching Question Time in the House of Representatives

 

Discussions With The Nation's Political Leaders

Each year the Minister for Education, the Minister for Skills and Training plus their Opposition counterparts address participants.  Also speaking are senior government officials in the skills training, higher education and international education sectors.

 

The Informal Parliamentary Reception

The formal proceedings conclude with an informal reception that allows to you meet with parliamentarians from across the political spectrum who are interested in the work of the independent skills training, higher education and international education sectors.
