Quality for Registered Training Organisations (RTO)

Membership of the Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia is designed for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) committed to delivering high-quality Vocational Education and Training (VET).

ITECA represents independent providers across Australia and works to ensure that government policy, funding, and regulation support strong student outcomes and industry-aligned training.

ITECA membership is not automatic. Providers must meet defined standards and uphold the integrity of Australia’s independent skills training sector.

For RTOs focused on excellence, advocacy, and collaboration, ITECA provides a strong professional network, trusted policy leadership, and practical support to strengthen capability and influence.

Application Process

For Training Providers with a Demonstrated Commitment to Quality

• ASQA, VRQA or TAC Registered providers with a record of regulatory compliance.
• ASIC Record verification to reflect sound corporate governance.
• Company meets the ITECA financial sustainability test.
• Directors and managers meet the ITECA fit and proper person criteria.
