Australian Government Recognised Advocacy

ITECA’s member-driven advocacy is recognised by the Australian Government, as well as state and territory governments, for providing practical solutions to the complex issues facing the sector. Through evidence-based policy leadership, ITECA ensures that students remain at the centre of a high-performing skills training system underpinned by quality RTOs.

There are several opportunities for senior executives from RTOs committed to quality to actively contribute to ITECA’s advocacy agenda.

Parliamentary Forum

Engaging With The Federal Government

The annual ITECA Tertiary Education Parliamentary Forum offers the sector's leaders to meet with federal Ministers and Shadow Ministers at Parliament House in Canberra. It's the foremost political engagement event for RTO leaders.

"ITECA membership provides us with multiple opportunities to meaningfully contribute to improvements in the sector at both a federal and state level."

Executive Leadership Briefings

Engaging with the Nation's Political Leaders

A valued membership benefit is the regular ITECA Executive Leadership Briefings that allow you to play an active role in conversations with Ministers and Shadow Ministers across the Australian, state, and territory governments.

The ability for members to drive reform is attributed to ITECA's policy advocacy team team who have extraordinary levels of access to the politicians and senior officials at all levels of government.

Member-driven Advocacy

ITECA National Skills Training Policy

It's the members that drive the policy reform agenda through their participation on the ITECA National Skills Training Policy Committee. They provide the insights on the changes to RTO regulation and skills funding policies that back quality vocational education and training providers.

ITECA is recognised by the Australian, state, and territory governments as the authentic voice for RTOs that are committed to quality. If you're interested in driving the reforms that protect the integrity of the skills training sector, be sure to get involved in this collaborative community.
