Nominations Open for the 2026 NSW International Education Awards

The NSW Government has opened nominations for the 2026 NSW International Education Awards, recognising the outstanding contributions of international students, community organisations, education providers, and employers who are making a meaningful impact across the international education sector.

The Awards celebrate individuals and organisations whose work delivers real outcomes, strengthens communities, and enhances the experience and success of international students throughout New South Wales.
Award Categories.

International Student of the Year Awards

These awards recognise international students whose contributions have created benefits beyond their studies, including:

    - Contribution to Research
    - Regional Community Engagement
    - Sydney Metropolitan Community Engagement

International Education Excellence Awards

These awards recognise organisations and employers delivering strong outcomes for international students and the broader sector, including:

    - EdTech & Innovation
    - Sector Excellence
    - Employer Excellence

A Refreshed Awards Program

The 2026 Awards have been refreshed to better recognise the diverse contributions being made across international education. The updated program places a stronger emphasis on outcomes, evidence-based achievements, and real-world impact.

The changes include:

    Greater recognition of international students making a difference beyond their academic studies.
    Improved recognition of community impact across both regional and metropolitan New South Wales.
    Enhanced recognition of employers, industry partners, innovation, and technology-enabled solutions.

    Nominations Open: 7 May 2026
    Nominations Close: 31 July 2026
    Finalists Announced: October 2026
    Awards Ceremony (Sydney): 23 November 2026
