ITECA Women In Tertiary Education —

A member-driven initiative, ITECA Women In Tertiary Education is a community of women across the skills training and higher education sectors that come together to learn from each other, support each other, and empower each other in their careers. It provides a save environment for share ideas and hear from leaders from across the business community and government about what it takes to overcome challenges.  This community is proudly supported by ITECA Premier Partners, aXcelerate & The Learning Resources Group.

Professional Profile —

Dianne is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Apprentice Employment Network the peak body for group training organisations employing around 25,000 apprentices and trainees across Australia.

Her passion for industry-relevant skills training has been built though roles with the (former) Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council, various NSW Industry Training Advisory Boards (ITABs), the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, the Sydney Paralympic Organising Committee and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Dianne holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (photography); Diploma of Teaching (Primary); Diploma Frontline Mgt (distinction)

Community Discussion —

This  ITECA Women In Tertiary Education confab allows you to hear from Dianne about her experience, and then then discuss with other leaders and emerging leaders the opportunities to network, learn from each other, and support each other in your careers. It provides a platform for women to share ideas, discuss challenges, and create opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Empowering Women in Business:  The community can discuss ways to empower women leaders. professionals and entrepreneurs including how to leverage networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and access to each other as a career resources

Overcoming Challenges: Women in business face unique challenges such as discrimination, lack of support, and work-life balance. The community can share their challenges and the strategies used overcome these challenges.  The aim is to build a collaborate and and support each other in achieving their goals.

Leadership Development: The group can focus on developing leadership skills among women in business. The conversations include the workshops and training programs that are available and the importance of taking on leadership roles within the tertiary education sector and the broader business community.

This is a great opportunity for women leaders and emerging leaders to associate with like-minded professionals as it can lead to new connections and opportunities, and foster personal and professional growth.

This videoconference is conducted under the 'Chatham House Rule' and thus participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker/s, nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.  For this reason, the meeting won't be recorded.

Participation Eligibility —

This meeting is open to any female employee of a provider in the skills training, higher education, and international education sectors.  Stakeholders from government and the business community are also welcome to attend.
